Press and invited guests of Laura Siegel entered the hushed studio where a model stood alone in the center of a white raised stage. Draped in a burgundy scarf and a smock layered over skinny pants and wooden flat-forms she wore smokey eye makeup and a distant gaze.
The presentation was filled with dark world music and layered looks. The earth toned pieces were patched, re-sewn and tie dyed; reminiscent of hobo chic. Thick knits engulfed the models’ necks and high slit smocks in bright and dark colour combinations flowed easily on the models. The colour palate for the show mainly featured deep reds, brown, taupe and off white.
A biker-style shearling lined cotton jacket in faded army green with a silver diagonal zipper was paired with a loose unevenly cut white shirt, black skinny pants and another massive scarf was one of our favourite looks from the collection.
