The Soia and Kyo runway presentation reaffirmed the brands’ hold in the outerwear market. Sporting Life is among several Canadian retailers that merchandise the line with other popular canuck brands like Mackage and Canada Goose.
Matching trends of the upcoming F/W season, a few of the models strutted down the runway with lengthy ponytails and pants under skirts with jackets draped over their shoulders. A simple brown suede biker-styled jacket was paired with satin hammer pants and nude booties for a simple and stylish look. One of our favourites of the womens’ pieces was a dark tan trench coat with a classic belt cinching the waist. As well a darker look in a double breasted dark army green jacket was detailed with a black leather collar. Some of our favourite details included fur trim and leather sleeves. We also loved that puffy jackets were designed to be more wearable and fashionable for the upcoming season. We loved a grey one with an off center enclosure and an open collar that draped the shoulders; being warm has never looked this good!
Men were styled with cool dark sunglasses and slicked combed hair, matching the sleek menswear jackets. Massive brown turtle necks were worn under tan leather jackets with ribbed seam details on the shoulders and dark wool trench coats were notable looks for men.
