Press and invited guests of Laura Siegel entered the hushed studio where a model stood alone in the center of a white raised stage. Draped in a burgundy scarf and a smock layered over skinny pants and wooden flat-forms she wore smokey eye makeup and a distant gaze.
Ribbed, warm, stylish and comfy: Line Knitwear‘s F/W 2013 collection in four words. The cotton, wool and cashmere blends were glam and functional. Although fall palates tend to be darker, Line attempted to add a bit of colour. The pairing of gold with darker knits it gave certain pieces a luminescence.
The anticipated runway follow up to the leather dominated Spring/Summer line by Mackage in 2012 did not disappoint. The Canadian brand featured bright winter wear paired with leather or suede tights under leather shorts with fur shirts. Well styled, the outerwear pieces were displayed fashionably on the runway.
